The Connaught Bar doesn't just serve cocktails — it performs them. The signature Martini arrives via a rolling trolley, mixed tableside by a bartender who treats the ritual with the reverence of a tea ceremony. The David Collins-designed room is a study in silvered lilac and platinum, and the atmosphere manages to be both impossibly glamorous and completely unpretentious.

The Ritual

The tableside Martini trolley is the signature experience. Don't order off the menu first — start with the Martini and let the room set the tone.

The Seat

The corner banquette by the window lets you watch the room unfold like a scene from a film. Request it when you arrive.

The Timing

Arrive at 5:30pm for the golden hour light through the Art Deco panels. After 8pm it's standing room only.

The Terrace

In summer, the outdoor terrace is Mayfair's best-kept secret. Quieter, breezier, and the cocktails taste better in open air.
